Facility Management Category Strategy
Context & Objective
The client wanted to analyze current facility management services, composed of cleaning, reception, and food and beverages etc. to be able to assess vendor consolidation to reduce cost base.
Approach & Result
PIR conducted a current state analysis, including spend, internal requirement, and external market analysis, to develop a category strategy in line with the client’s overall strategy. PIR also issued an RFP that resulted in the client going from an expensive hybrid-outsourced model, which was hard to govern, to an one-service concept where strategic and tactical governance was established. This project resulted in 33% savings compared with baseline.
