Context & Objective
The client wanted to significantly reduce its cost base as a response to market and technology challenges. The project was on a success fee.
Approach & Result
PIR did a spend and cost savings analysis to understand the potential for savings within procurement, then realized the identified saving opportunities. This was done by Speed Sourcing – PIR methodology of renegotiating existing agreements. A quick way to lower prices and improve terms and conditions with current suppliers. This resulted in 35 suppliers in scope generating 23 MSEK in annual savings. In addition to this Strategic Sourcing with parallel RFx initiatives, e.g. Professional Services, BPO, Marketing Print was also carried out.
